Comment: I had the privilege of seeing QMS many, many, many years ago and it still is an outstanding memory to me.

 

I touted John's prowess to all my musician friends from the late sixties and was always overjoyed when I heard a QMS tune on the radio. His style, tastefulness, songbird playing will stay in my memory 'till I'm gone.

My ex-wike used to call QMS my "shi* music" but then again, she's me "ex-wife". Little did she appreciate John's (and QMS's) talents and range.

To this day I continue  to turn on friends and aquaintances to QMS and John's fantastic contribution to the history of what we call "Rock and Roll".

Comment: I will never forget the day of my 28th birthday. I showed up at Shady Grove, for Nicks wedding,which John performed. Quite eligantly I must say. And after the ceremoney Nick, John,greg and myself got up on stage and played the good ol tunes from QuickSilver Messenger Service. What A GAS!!!!!!!!!!

 

Even though I have had other dynomite birthdays, I will never forget the fun we had that wonder day in the redwoods.

I think about you daily and know in my heart you're happy jamming with all the others who have passed on too. 

I wish I could hear you play again and I know someday I will. Come and get me when its my time.  I ll need someone to show me the way and I'd like to hear your guitar showing me the road to rock heaven.
